Helpful Resources for Caregivers and Family Members

If you’re a caregiver to a SCAN member, thank you! We look forward to partnering with you to ensure your loved gets the care and services they need. And, we’re here for you, too. We’ve gathered the information, tips and caregiver resources that can help make caring for your loved one a little easier.

For example, all SCAN plans offer Caregiver Workshops and home-delivered meals. Some plans also include a Respite Care benefit. Check your plan materials to see what your loved one’s SCAN plan offers. Not sure where to look? SCAN Member Services is only a call or an email away.

And, if there’s something you have an interest in knowing more about, we encourage you to take a few minutes to complete our Caregiver Help Form. Or email us and let us know what you’re interested in learning about or to get answers to your caregiving questions.

How to get Your Caregiver Account

If you’re a caregiver to a SCAN member, having a caregiver account gives you quick and easy access to the SCAN member’s specific plan information and documents, as well as their primary doctor information, and more.

To get started, the SCAN member will need to send you an online invitation to register a caregiver account. Ask the member to log in to their SCAN online member account and invite you. (Or, if necessary, get their permission to log in on their behalf.)

Here’s how:

  1. Log in to member account
  2. Go to the “Manage Profile and Preferences” page
  3. Click on the caregiver link
  4. Complete the caregiver information

An email will be sent to you so you can register. You will need your member’s date of birth to complete your registration.
