When you travel, the benefits you need to stay healthy and safe travel with you. SCAN on the go is a handy guide that brings together the benefits available in many SCAN plans that can be used while away from home, such as:

- Vision care
- Emergency dental

Frequently Asked Questions About the SCAN on the go Program Benefits
Q: What SCAN on the go benefits can I use when I’m away from home?
When you’re out of town, or even across the country, the SCAN benefits you need to stay safe and healthy go with you. For example, you can:
- Refill a prescription
- Work out at a gym
- Get replacement eyeglasses
- Have a Telehealth visit with a doctor
- See a dentist for emergency dental care
All SCAN on the go benefits may not be included in your plan. Check the Evidence of Coverage for your SCAN plan before you leave home to know what’s covered when you’re on the road.
Q: Can I use SCAN on the go benefits even when I’m traveling outside the U.S.?
Most of the benefits listed in the SCAN on the go guide are limited to when you are in the United States. One exception would be your gym membership online classes, which you can access anywhere you have internet connection. Otherwise, when out of the country, most SCAN plans include coverage for worldwide urgent and emergency care through SCAN Travel Assurance. If you are planning to travel internationally, call Member Services to verify your coverage.
