Online Brain Health Benefit
SCAN offers a brain health benefit through the online BrainHQ program. The benefit is available on all SCAN plans.
BrainHQ is an online program that offers a series of mental activities designed to strengthen attention, memory and other skills that are so important as we age.
- Mental games that focus on keeping your brain in shape by improving attention, memory, brain speed, intelligence, navigation and communication skills
- Exercises tailored to your unique brain. Using a special method, each exercise adapts in difficulty as you use it, so you’re always working at the optimum level where you are most likely to improve your performance
- Round-the-clock access. BrainHQ is available online 24 hours a day, seven days week, so you can use it whenever it’s convenient for you
BrainHQ is available in all SCAN plans (except VillageHealth) for $0 copayment, and there is no additional cost to use the program.

Q: How long is each game?
BrainHQ is designed so that you can spend as little as two minutes to as much time as you like at any given time. Any training is better than none! A good rule of thumb is to follow the basic guidelines for physical exercise: use it at least three times a week for 30 minutes each time.
Q: Is BrainHQ free to use?
Yes, BrainHQ is part of your plan with SCAN. There is no additional charge to use Brain HQ.
Q: How do I know if BrainHQ is right for me?
Almost all adults can improve in the brain functions that BrainHQ trains. The program’s exercises adapt dynamically to skill level, so your brain is always challenged to improve.

Yes! BrainHQ works on most computers, smartphones and tablets.
