SCAN Health Plan’s commitment to compliance includes ensuring that its first tier, downstream, and related entities (FDRs) operate in compliance with applicable laws and regulatory guidance. While SCAN may contract with FDRs to perform certain functions, the plan maintains ultimate responsibility for fulfilling the terms and conditions of its contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Medicare Advantage program requirements. This includes ensuring that FDRs are in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations with respect to delegated plan responsibilities. This site is intended to provide tools and information to support and help ensure FDR compliance.
