What is the Member Advisory Committee (MAC)?

The Member Advisory Committee is a group of SCAN members that meet virtually via Zoom with the SCAN team to give feedback. Your participation in this committee is optional and will not affect your benefits in any way. The committee's goal is the same as SCAN's mission: Keeping Seniors Healthy and Independent.

The three main jobs of the committee are to:

• Advise by discussing SCAN programs, sharing experiences, and making suggestions for improvement.
• Assist in creating a safe place for discussing issues and sharing experiences.
• Advocate for the needs of all SCAN members so that positive changes can be made.

MAC and You: Rewards of Being a Member

As a team member on the Member Advisory Committee, you'll meet with other SCAN members and employees to share your opinions and suggestions about SCAN. By sharing your thoughts and experiences you are helping us to make SCAN better for you and other members.

All MAC attendees will be eligible to receive a small gift for taking part without obligation.

Hear Other Voices: Like everyone else, SCAN members can have different opinions. It's always good to hear from others—and we all learn from talking with people who have different views.
