I began my career in the long-term care industry at a young age. Directly out of college, I knew my passion was working with the geriatric population. From nursing school, back-office work and now the Medicare Advantage side of the industry, it has been gratifying and fulfilling knowing that everyday, I am connecting one more senior to excellent healthcare. Ultimately, my desires and goals remain the same—to always advocate for the resident and connect them to a special type of healthcare that most have not been exposed to.
SCAN Embrace Mobile Care Team provides me with the gratification of knowing residents are connected with regular nurse practitioner visits and getting excellent care right at their bedside in the comfort of their apartments within an assisted living environment. Throughout my career, I have dreamed of a position where both the world of geriatric advocacy and realistic expectations for healthcare could come together. I have found that common ground with SCAN Health Plan, and I am truly honored and grateful to be a part of such a phenomenal team in Orange County.
How to enroll
SCAN Embrace is a special needs plan, which means you have to reside in a long-term care community such as an assisted living community. This is a beautiful time in your life where food is catered daily, housekeeping is done on a weekly basis, garments of clothing are laundered for you and brought directly to your apartment from the community. Why not have your nurse practitioner, physician and podiatrist come to your apartment and have your healthcare catered as well?
