“I thrive on building relationships with patients and their families, discovering what is important to them and working hard to make sure their wishes and goals are respected and achieved,” says Kathy.

A former Army nurse, Kathy welcomes challenges and working to find solutions to help her patients find ways to manage their complex health issues. As part of the SCAN Embrace team, she is enthusiastic about collaborating with other care team members to find the best solutions to better the lives of the older patients she serves.

A native Southerner, Kathy relocated from Atlanta, Georgia to the western United States in 2017. Wanting to experience life outside the South, she lived in Las Vegas for several years before settling in Long Beach. Kathy and her husband live close to beach and spend as much time there as possible. They love good food, plays, museums and spending time with their children, grandchildren and their dog.

Kathy received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management and a Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Kennesaw State University. Credentials: MSN, FNP-BC
