Erika loves that as a nurse practitioner she can care for her patients in ways that positively impact their lives. To Erika, some of the best parts of her job are the face-to-face interaction with her patients and seeing firsthand how her interventions help improve their quality of life.
Erika became a geriatric nurse practitioner in tribute to her late grandmother, who dealt with the effects of type 2 diabetes throughout Erika’s childhood. Erika takes pride in honoring
her grandmother’s loving and nurturing nature by providing compassionate care for her patients. She considers growing old a privilege and a blessing, and she believes older adults should be honored and respected for their hard work and contributions paving the way for future generations. To her mind, the aging among us “deserve nothing short of the best life has to offer, especially with regard to healthcare.”
A classically trained pianist, Erika orchestrates a busy life at home as a baseball and ballet mom to two busy kids. She also enjoys working out, snacking and writing.
Erika received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Irvine; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Concordia University, Irvine; and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Brandman University.
