Facility Physical Accessibility

We conduct physical accessibility surveys at certain facilities. Our evaluations focus on essential areas to determine a facility's accessibility for people with disabilities. These areas include parking, building exterior, building interior, restrooms, and exam rooms, as well as the availability of accessible medical equipment like height-adjustable exam tables and weight scales. For Affiliated Providers and Affiliated Locations, note that physical accessibility information may either be publicly available or self-reported by the providers, rather than surveyed by SCAN. To help you understand the level of accessibility at each facility, we categorize them into the following levels:

Basic Access + Medical Equipment Access:
This facility offers comprehensive physical accessibility for people with disabilities. It meets all criteria for basic accessibility in the areas surveyed: parking, building exterior, building interior, restrooms, and exam rooms. In addition, the facility provides medical equipment access, featuring height-adjustable exam tables and weight scales accessible to patients using wheelchairs and scooters.
Basic Access:
The facility meets all the criteria for basic physical accessibility for people with disabilities. The areas surveyed include parking, building exterior, building interior, restrooms, and exam rooms.
Limited Access:
The facility meets some but not all of the criteria for basic physical accessibility for people with disabilities. Areas surveyed include parking, building exterior, building interior, restrooms, and exam rooms. Note that medical equipment access may not be available.
