Katelyn believes that making connections with her patients is one of the most important aspects of her job as a nurse practitioner. She values getting to know her older patients through their life stories so she can provide care that makes a difference in their health and lives.

A third-generation nurse, Katelyn was inspired to further her studies by a nurse practitioner who cared for her grandfather in an assisted living facility. She became a nurse practitioner in 2014 and today appreciates being able to provide SCAN members care that is compassionate, individualized, easy to access and aligns with their visions.

A favorite part of Katelyn’s job is when her patients share stories of people they’ve known, things they’ve done and places they’ve been. When not at work, Katelyn is making memories of her own by traveling, going to concerts, exploring new foods and spending time with friends and family.

Katelyn holds a Master’s degree in Nursing from California State University, Fullerton.
