Available to members of the SCAN Inspired plan.
The SCAN Inspired plan includes a Wig Benefit for members who have hair loss as a result of chemotherapy. This benefit lets you try a new hair style or two and feel like you’re taking a measure of control during a tough time.
With the SCAN Inspired Wig Benefit you can:
- Shop for wigs online or at a store near you
- Send SCAN your receipt(s)
- SCAN will reimburse you the amount you paid up to $300

Q. Who can use the wig reimbursement benefit?
Members of SCAN Inspired who have experienced hair loss due to chemotherapy are eligible for this benefit.
Q. How do I ask to be reimbursed?
Fill out your reimbursement form found here . If you have questions, contact SCAN Member Services at 1-800-559-3500 TTY: 711, and a team member will walk you through the process.
Q. I bought two wigs and they add up to just over $300. Can I only get reimbursed for the price of one of them?
No. You’re able to be reimbursed up to $300 regardless of how many wigs you buy.
Q. Do I have to buy my wig from a specific place to get reimbursed?
No. You can buy from any retailer, but you will need to be able to verify your purchase when you submit your reimbursement form.
