(LONG BEACH, Calif. – Feb. 8, 2016) — SCAN Health Plan announced today that AltaMed Health Services has joined the Medicare Advantage plan’s provider network, effective February 1. As a result, SCAN members in Los Angeles County now have access to an expanded network of board-certified, bilingual primary care and specialty physicians.

For these members SCAN offers a personal assistance line (PAL) that helps dual-eligible members navigate the complex Web of Medicare and Medi-Cal services. SCAN’s innovative PAL unit is comprised of a team of bilingual experts trained extensively in the intricacies of Medicare and Medi-Cal benefits.
