(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – August 6, 2013) — SCAN Health Plan and Brown & Toland Physicians have expanded their contractual relationship, effective August 1. Under the new contract, Brown & Toland will assume responsibility for managing both physician and hospital services for SCAN members.
The new contract will be seamless to SCAN members, who will continue to have access to Brown & Toland’s large network of independent physicians as well as the following hospitals: California Pacific Medical Center (California, Davies and Pacific campuses as well as St. Luke’s Hospital), Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and St. Mary's Medical Center.
