시니어의 건강과 독립 지원. 이는 SCAN이 1977년 설립된 이래 유지되어 온 SCAN의 사명입니다.

SCAN은 시니어들이 가능한 한 독립적으로 생활할 수 있도록 시니어에게 필요한 의료와 서비스에 대한 접근성을 개선하겠다는 목표 아래, 캘리포니아 롱비치 시니어 활동가들의 모임에서 시작했습니다. 의약, 노인학, 심리학, 그리고 사회복지의 전문가들이 모여 비영리 시니어 케어 액션 네트워크(Senior Care Action Network), 즉 SCAN을 설립했습니다.

이제 SCAN은 더 많은 시니어의 건강과 독립을 더 많은 곳에서 지원하고 있습니다. SCAN 헬스플랜은 수상 경력에 빛나는 메디케어 어드밴티지 보장을 캘리포니아의 회원들에게 제공하며 SCAN 데저트 헬스플랜과 스캔 헬스플랜(네바다)로 각각 애리조나 및 네바다 사람들에게 메디케어 어드밴티지 보장을 제공하고 있습니다. Independence at Home은 플랜 멤버십과 관계없이 시니어와 그 간병인들에게 꼭 필요한 서비스와 지원을 제공하는 SCAN 커뮤니티 서비스입니다. 
SCAN의 모회사인 SCAN 그룹은 시니어에게 사실에 근거하여 환자 중심의 서비스를 제공하는 사명을 가진 조직입니다.

Keeping Seniors Healthy and Independent. That's been the SCAN mission since the organization was founded in 1977.

We began when a group of senior activists in Long Beach, California got together, determined to improve access to the care and services they needed so they could stay as independent as possible. They brought together experts in medicine, gerontology, psychology, and social services and formed the not-for-profit Senior Care Action Network—SCAN.

Today, SCAN Group continues to take action, implementing new ways to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care to older adults.

SCAN is keeping more seniors healthy and independent in more places than ever. SCAN Health Plan provides award-winning Medicare Advantage coverage to members in California and Nevada, while Medicare beneficiaries in Arizona are served by SCAN Desert Health Plan. Independence at Home, a SCAN community service, provides vitally needed services and support to seniors and their caregivers regardless of plan membership.
