
SCAN Health Plan Names Elizabeth Russell
Senior Vice President of Network Management
(LONG BEACH, CA – February 17, 2006) — Elizabeth Russell has
joined SCAN Health Plan as senior vice president of network
management, effective immediately. SCAN is one of California’s
fastest-growing Medicare Advantage Plans.

Previously, Russell held the position of chief operations
officer for Regal Medical Group. She also held senior management
positions at Healthcare Partners and PacifiCare Health Systems.
In her new role at SCAN, Russell will oversee contracting,
provider services and delegated compliance.

“Elizabeth has a wealth of experience in network management and
contracting,” said David Schmidt, chief executive officer of
SCAN. “Her knowledge in these areas will add to our strength as
we continue to enhance our provider partnerships, network
coverage and serve our members in 2006 and beyond.”

Russell earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in literature and
film from Pitzer College in Claremont, California. She also
holds a Master of Business Administration degree with an
emphasis in computer science and marketing from the University
of Southern California.
