SCAN Health Plan Names Bevann Moreland Vice President of Claims

(Long Beach, CA – October 27, 2008) — SCAN Health Plan has named Bevann Moreland as its vice president of claims, effective immediately. Moreland brings to SCAN more than 20 years of leadership experience in managed care and health care information technology.

At SCAN, Moreland will oversee the claims unit, which includes a variety of functions including claims customer service, processing and auditing as well as electronic data interchange. She will play a key role in projects to improve technology efficiencies at SCAN.

Prior to joining SCAN, Moreland held executive positions at Healthcare Partners Medical Group in Torrance and Prospect Medical in Santa Ana. She studied business at the University of LaVerne and Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa and is a developing partner of the IPA Managed Care Master software product.
